“A Balm to Soothe the Flesh” was an exhibition dedicated to stories and spaces we use to feel whole as black queer people in a world that erases so many of us from the record. The show was an ode to the gaps in the narrative of history. A tribute to hearty laughs of yesterday and tomorrow, that drown out the clatter of grotesque projections we must contend with in the dominant social structure.
